Black Friday: Ghost Dog Galileo Folder

Haven't made one of these guys in while! But here it is... I designed the Ghost Dog Galileo Folder for an episode of the German Television Infotainment Show Galileo. I wanted to have a knife that would be big enough to make an impression on the small screen. And this one does that! The Ghost Dog Galileo is one Big Folder.

It's too big to be carried in a normal pocket and for that reason I no longer fit them with a clip. A normal clip looks out of scale and a giant clip ruins the excellent ergonomics of the knife.

This Ghost Dog is machined from 3+mm thick 6Al4V titanium with Fire Anodised and Tumbled Titanium overlays on both sides. The 440B stainless pivot is custom made, 8mm in diameter, heat treated and press fit into the frame and secured from both sides with M5 screws. A big knife needs a big pivot.

The blade is hand ground from Becut stainless at HRC58-59. The blade and titanium parts are all matt grey tumble polished.

The pierced, asymmetrical black G10 spacer for the Ghost Dog allows a lanyard to enter through one grip and exit through the spacer. This reduces the width of an already hefty folder.

Specs:
overall length open: 255mm
blade length: 110mm
blade thickness: 4.2mm
knife closed: 145mm
